Santa Fe is the heart of New Mexico for me. Here we bask in the Light of a brilliantly clear blue sky 343 days of the year. We have an expansive horizon that takes our vision and insight far beyond the norm. And at our elevation of 7000 feet, cosmic particles charge through us with more power and presence, colors become infused with clarity, and we have the opportunity to see and to know ourselves in a very new, all-encompassing Light. The potential for deep healing and rest is in the very air and light around us.

This quality of Light is one of the major reasons I have lived here for over 30 years. This Light and the vast bed of ancient volcanic obsidian that underlies this land, supporting our individual transformations while we while we walk upon the Earth here.

The combination of the Light, the obsidian, the deep hot mineral springs, and the extraordinary native art and culture that is alive in the nineteen Pueblo Nations – those who have lived on this land for eons – make Northern New Mexico a very special place to discover and nurture new aspects of yourself.

During the 30 years that I have lived here as a practicing naturopath, I have invited groups to the numerous trainings in my professional programs, invited individual clients to have a personal spiritual journey of healing, invited private gatherings of friends or families to deepen their connections and communications between themselves and Spirit. Always these gatherings in New Mexico have allowed life-changing experiences for all who join me here seeking spiritual replenishment and a more vibrant life force to animate their daily lives.

I extend that invitation to you through two unique kinds of Sacred Sojourns:

Sacred Sojourns – The Dances

During my first five or six years of living in Santa Fe, I attended the yearly cycles of Native Dances at every Pueblo in Northern New Mexico. I found my favorites – the Dances and the Pueblos that moved my heart and gave me gifts of the Earth, as well as introducing me to the Pueblo people’s wise commitment to Her. The beating drums reverberate in my bones. The Earth Herself lodges more deeply in my conscious soul. Respect and reverence are the gifts given to me, for the Earth and for those who have continued to love Her, bless Her, and support Her with their prayers and life force.

One of my favorite ways to assist people with their growth and transformation is to provide unique experiences of this sacred land and the differing indigenous cultures. Over the years, I have watched everyone benefit from the opening of their personal intuitions, the strengthening of their beliefs in themselves and their choices. I revel in supporting each and every one of you as your choices refine in the potent energies of Grace in this high desert land.

I am offering Sacred Sojourns -The Dances. These revolve around the Pueblo Dances that I love and that inspire awe within me.

Sacred Sojourns – The Waters

Sacred Sojourns – the Waters are retreats at healing thermal waters that abound in New Mexico and Colorado. These Sojourns will allow you to sink deeply into yourself, wonder at the gifts of soul and spirit within you, and bring those gifts into the wholeness of your everyday life. All Sojourns will involve group experience as well as individualized time with Dr. Burnham.

Each Sojourn will have a limited number of participants. Small, personalized excursions are designed to support you and the group in receiving and absorbing maximum experiential benefits.
